On Xbox Series X, fans of Microsoft Flight Simulator will soon have three new controllers to choose from. In addition to the Turtle Beach announced in June, both Thrustmaster and Honeycomb Aeronautical revealed new Xbox-compatible flight controllers over the weekend. The announcements were made during Flight Sim Expo 2021 in San Diego.

According to FSElite, the Thrustmaster solution will be called the TCA Boeing Yoke Pack and will be a replica of the controls found on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. It will feature a freestanding yoke with an all-metal interior, as well as a separate accelerator pedal. Both will be packaged in the same box and both will be compatible with Windows PC and Xbox Series X. No information on pricing was provided. Details will be given in the official announcement on November 9.

Notably, this is the first set of controls ever made by Thrustmaster, known for their high-end hand and throttle (HOTAS) setups, including the previously released TCA Airbus Sidestick system. The addition of the Boeing license means the French-owned company now has an exclusive relationship with two of the world's largest aircraft manufacturers. You can watch the full interview with a Thrustmaster representative on YouTube.

Honeycomb has announced an overhaul for its venerable Alpha Flight Controls, an integrated kit and button box. This new device, called Alpha Flight Controls XPC, will be compatible with both Xbox Series X and Windows PC. In a news release, the manufacturer said it will include a "4x increase in resolution to increase sensitivity" and a new spring-loaded ignition switch, along with many of the features found in the original model.

Honeycomb will also launch the Xbox Hub, which will allow users to connect the Bravo Throttle Quadrant and Charlie Rudder Pedals to the Xbox Series X. The Xbox Hub will also be compatible with Logitech Flight Rudder Pedals and Flight Throttle Quadrant.

The Alpha Flight Controls XPC will cost $299,99, and the Xbox Hub will cost $29,99. Pre-orders will begin in the next few months, with delivery expected in early 2022.

Finally, as reported by Threshold, Turtle Beach has stated that it has raised the expected price of the VelocityOne Flight Control System from $349,99 to $379,99. It will have an integrated, user-configurable display panel in the middle of the set. There will also be a removable overlay for the status lights, allowing users to tailor the information they have at a glance.
