Valve and partner tournament organizers were gearing up to kick off the 2022 Dota Pro Circuit Spring Round on March 14, but the shadow of the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine continues to have a direct impact on the competition.

Previously, Valve and Russian TO Epic Esports Events announced that Eastern Europe's DPC Spring Tour would be delayed indefinitely due to the conflict in Ukraine. In an update on the situation, Valve confirmed that this delay will continue for the foreseeable future.

“While the horrific suffering caused by the war in Ukraine is unfolding, we do not see a way for the Eastern European DPC league to take place as envisioned in the foreseeable future, and we are very sorry to have had to postpone the Spring Round recently. Given these circumstances, Epic Esports Events has proactively reached out to us to waive its rights to the EEU DPC so players, teams and the community can focus on safety and security.”

With CTR waiving its own production rights to territory and competition, Valve also noted that several players on the scene wanted the league to continue. However, the company has withdrawn for now.

Valve is currently in direct contact with every team involved in the EEU DPC to stay updated on their individual situation and to get feedback on whether there is a way to move forward or provide assistance in some way. This is a sensible decision, given that almost every player in the EEU DPC is based in Russia, Ukraine or a number of other conflict-affected regions.

Future updates regarding the resumption of the EEU Spring Round will be shared as Valve continues to engage with teams in the CIS region. This post is also official about the Fantasy section for the Spring Tour and changes related to it. On the Dota 2 website It contained some small news that you can read.
