Apex Legends Mobile will be released worldwide on May 17.

The long-awaited mobile version of Apex will arrive in the Apple App Store and Android's Google Play Store in less than a week. While developer Respawn Entertainment hasn't shared many details about the game itself yet, players in select regions around the world have already got an early release of Apex Legends Mobile through a series of closed beta tests and a small regional release earlier this year.

For the mobile version of the Battle Royale game, Respawn and EA have partnered with two Tencent studios, Lightspeed and Quantum Studios. Lightspeed is also known for the making of PUBG Mobile, which was developed in just four months.

Fans who pre-register before Apex Legends Mobile launches will receive a variety of in-game rewards at launch, including Holo-Sprays, weapon skins, and banner frames. As part of encouraging players to come back, the game will be free-to-play and will feature “mobile-first” maps and legends, which are likely different from the PC and console versions of Apex. Cross-play between the mobile and PC-console versions of Apex will not be possible.

Interested gamers should pay attention to the minimum system requirements for Apple and Android devices. Apple gamers will need an iPhone 11.0S or newer model running at least iOS 6. They will also need at least an A9 CPU, 4GB of free space and at least 2GB of RAM. Android users will need Android 6.0 or higher, Open GL 3.1 or higher, 4GB of free space and at least 2GB of RAM.
