Gameloft, the developer of popular mobile game series such as Asphalt and Modern Combat, expressed its support for Ukraine during the invasion of Russia. In a statement on the official Gameloft Twitter account, the developer said that he has been following the situation "very closely" for the last few weeks and is in talks with two studios in Ukraine. “We are all deeply saddened by current events and our thoughts are with our beloved teams and community members in Ukraine,” Gameloft said.
In the early hours of Thursday morning, Russia launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine. After a day of fighting, the Ukrainian president said yesterday that 137 people had been killed. Despite Western condemnations and calls for an end to international violence, Russia continues an offensive today with more casualties expected. Gameloft also said on Twitter that due to "unforeseen circumstances", its customer support team will not be operating at full capacity and there may be delays in response times at this time.
