Early Access Launch of Blood Bowl 3 Postponed

While the full release of the football megaviolence strategy game Blood Bowl 3 won't be out until February 2022, an Early Access release has been announced for this month. This has now been withdrawn. As the Blood Bowl 3 team at Cyanide Studio explained on Twitter, “The closed beta last June and all your feedback has been incredibly helpful in identifying and focusing on key improvements, and it seems we were a little too optimistic when we announced early access on PC. For September 2021.”

Blood Bowl 3 first came out with a 2020 release date, previously delayed to 2021 and thrown onto the field as often as basically any inflated pig's bladder. “Our primary concern is the quality of the gaming experience we will deliver when the game is released, and we want to devote sufficient time to achieving these quality goals,” Cyanide said. Early access on PC.

“We'll get back to you with a new release window in the coming weeks.”

I got hands-on with Blood Bowl 3 earlier this year and enjoyed the additions such as the ability for coaches to argue with the referee and some elaborate player customization options. That said, I only need to play against one of the developers instead of the AI, and what I really want from a new Blood Bowl is advanced AI. They can take as long as they want if that's what they're working on.
