Call of Duty: Vanguard's social feature allows players to team up for more rewards. Everything you need to know about clans is here.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is now available and you'll want an easy way to team up with friends or meet new players in multiplayer mode. Vanguard's new clan feature replaces Modern Warfare and Warzone's Regiments system, but works similarly to allow players to band together for even more rewards.
Being part of a clan will give you a colorful Clan Tag to use, reward you with 10% Bonus XP for playing with members of your clan, and give you unique Calling Card Frames to level up your clan. Clan levels up by members-only playing matches and completing challenges.
Here's how to join a clan in Call of Duty: Vanguard.
How to Create a Clan
You can create your own clan by opening Vanguard's Social menu by pressing Triangle or Y on the console. Then go to the Clan tab and select the Create option. This lets you decide on details like what the clan's name will be and which Clan Tag your members will display.
Simply follow the on-screen instructions to set up your clan, which includes entering a 5-character (max) Clan Tag, creating a custom emblem, and adjusting privacy settings. You can choose from four different privacy settings: private, invite only, request invitation to join, or public.
How to Join a Clan
Joining a clan is a fairly simple process. Select Join a Clan from the Clan tab to see a list of clans that have already been created. You can choose the option to browse the clan list or use a sort filter to find the one that best suits your style. These are search descriptors like casual, friendly, competitive, multiplayer and Zombies. If you already know the name of the clan you are trying to join, there is also a search bar for you to type the clan name.
Players can also invite you to their clan. This could be a friend or someone who played you in a previous match. You will find these clan invites in your Inbox. The Inbox section is located on the Social tab (Triangle or Y) and Clan menus.
If you've been in the Modern Warfare and Warzone Regiment before, you should see you and all Regiment members automatically transferred as a clan for Vanguard. However, you can choose to leave that group at any time to create or join a new clan with the steps above. Click the Clan Info tab in the upper right corner of the clan menu and select Leave Clan.
