With the latest update for Street Fighter V rolling out, Capcom has released the first details of the Capcom Pro Tour (CPT) 2022. These details will include online activities as well as a return to offline activities for the first time in two years.

Dating back to Capcom Cup IX, which will feature a total of 48 players, CPT will be run in a hybrid Street Fighter format with Online and Offline Premieres.

During 2022, Capcom will hold 19 online regional premieres for the event in 19 regions. The winner of these events will automatically qualify for the Capcom Cup, while the top four finalists will share the $5.000 prize pool.

CPT will also be returning to offline events through the current fighting game community (FGC) Majors. These exclusive competitions will be included in the official CPT 2022 circuit, and the winner of each event will automatically qualify for the Capcom Cup.

However, in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Capcom is following the International Olympic Committee's principles of honesty, fairness and security by removing Russia and Belarus from the CPT 2022 Online Premieres program until further notice. More details and rules for both online and offline competitions will be shared at a later date.

The latest addition to this CPT series is the World Warrior program, which Capcom says can be online or offline "as the situation permits."

Players participating in the World Warrior program will be able to earn points on the regional leaderboard by participating in local events. A certain number of winners from each region who rank high on these leaderboards will earn a spot in the Capcom Cup.

CPT 2022 kicks off April 30 with North America West Online Premier and On the Capcom Pro Tour website You can view the full schedule of Street Fighter events.
