Capcom Announces the Size of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak and Prerequisites for Accessing New Content

Capcom has set the requirements for playing Sunbreak, Monster Hunter Rise's new DLC pack coming to Nintendo Switch and PC. The main prerequisite will be to have completed the main storyline of Monster Hunter Rise and to have reached a certain level of Village Quest and Hub Quest progression.

According to translations by SiliconEra, this will include players who have to do "Serpent Goddess of Thunder" at Hunter Rank 7. Capcom has kept the details for the DLC, but the studio has stated that the game update will be around 13GB. Size when released; this will apply to all players who want to access online features.

More information about the game will be revealed at a livestream event on May 10 that will also see a new trailer, new Hunter actions, and new monsters, Garangolm, for players to hunt.

Sunbreak will be available for both Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on June 30, and pre-orders for the DLC have already started. All players who pre-order any version of the game will also unlock the Faithful Dog and Striped Cat armor sets for Palamute and Palico companions, as well as three new Malzeno-inspired Amiibos for Switch players who unlock more exclusive companion armor.
