Diablo 4 Necromancer Skill Guide
Similar to other classes, Diablo 4 Necromancer abilities use a tiered grouping system. You can unlock certain options after spending some skill points, and a few can be upgraded even more. We've listed them below, noting possible upgrades and connected nodes. Likewise, you can check out the Necromancer's abilities in our skill guide.
Basic layer/grouping capability options
- Unliving Energy - Increases your maximum essence.
- Incomplete Balanced – Basic skills cost 5% more essence but deal 10% more damage.
- Sliced Meat – Lucky Strike; damaging a target gives a chance to spawn a corpse at that location; doubled down against bosses.
Macabre and Corpse layer/grouping capability options
- Spiked Armor – Gives a spike effect (i.e. deals damage to those that hit you).
- Skeletal Warrior Mastery – Increases the damage and HP of your Skeletal Warriors.
- Grim Harvest – Gain Essence by consuming a corpse.
- Fueled by Death - Deal temporarily increased damage after consuming a corpse.
Damn layer/grouping capability options
- Deal increased damage against cursed enemies.
- Skeletal Mage Mastery – Increase the damage and HP of your Skeletal Mages.
- Death's Embrace – Nearby enemies take more damage and deal less damage to you.
- Death's Reach - Increases the damage you deal to distant enemies.
Macabre and Corpse layer/grouping capability options
- Fearsome Repair – Get more healing from all sources while below 50% HP.
- Transfusion – Blood Orbs heal your minions for a percentage of the amount.
- Tides of Blood – Blood skills deal extreme power damage; if you are healthy (i.e. 80% or more HP) it doubles this value.
- Coalesced Blood - While healthy, Blood abilities deal extra damage.
- Drain Vitality – Lucky Hit; Blood Skills have a chance to empower you by a certain percentage of your base life.
- Transfusion – Blood Orbs heal your minions for a percentage of the amount.
- Reaper's Pursuit – Darkness skills increase your movement speed.
- Gloom – Enemies damaged by Darkness skills take increased shadow damage that can stack up to three times.
- Lucky Strike; Dark skills have a chance to stun.
- Terror – Darkness skills deal bonus damage to slowed, stunned, and immobilized enemies; Bonuses stack up and also apply to shadow damage inflicted by your minions.
- Jaw – Increased critical chance for Bone skills for every 10 essences you have after using it.
- Quick Ossification – Reduce the cooldown of your Bone skills for every 100 Essence you spend.
- Compound Fracture – Bone skills take more damage after critically striking 10 times.
- Evulsion – Increased critical damage against defenseless enemies.
- Necrotic Carapace – When a corpse is spawned by you or your minions, boost for a percentage of your base life.
Basic layer/grouping capability options
- Golem Mastery – Increase your Golem's damage and HP.
- Alone – Increases your damage reduction, but it also decreases with each active minion.
- Memento Mori – Sacrificing both Skeletal Warriors and Skeletal Mages increases their Sacrifice bonuses.
- Bonded in Essence – Every five seconds, your Skeletal Priest also heals your skeletal minions for 20% of their maximum HP.
- Death's Defense – Minions, max. Cannot lose more than 75% of their SP.
- Hellbent Commander – Minions deal more damage if you are close to them.
Key Passives
Diablo 4 Necromancer prowess also have Key Passives that unlock when you spend 33 skill points. However, you are only allowed to choose one.
- Ossified Essence – Bone skills deal +50% more damage for each essence point above 1 when cast.
- Kalan's Edict – If you haven't taken damage for the last three seconds, minions gain +15% attack speed; Grants +30% attack speed if you have at least seven minions.
- Rathma's Vigor – +10% max. SP; After being healthy for 15 seconds, your next Blood skill will prevail.
- Shadowblight – Shadow damage affects enemies for two seconds, causing you and your minions to deal +10% bonus damage to them. Every 10th time Shadow damage hits an enemy affected by Shadowblight, they take additional Shadow damage.
