It's been just a few days since DWG KIA parted ways with Kim “Secret” Ha-jin, and it looks like they found potential players to replace him with Jeong “Esperanza” Jin-cheol and Yoon “hyeoni” Hyun-.

The Korean team performed well to qualify for the regional Masters tournament in the first stage of VCT 2021 and placed 3rd in the tournament. This earned them a spot in the Stage 2 Challengers event; however, they were unable to qualify for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021 – Stage 2 – Masters Reykjavík after losing to NUTURN Gaming.

As for the actors, Jeong “Esperanza” Jin-cheol has gained quite a reputation on the Korean scene since debuting on Valorant with T1 Korea. However, Valorant stepped up her career with F2021Q, where she got the chance to qualify for the VALORANT Champions Tour 3 – Stage 4 – Masters Berlin – Playoffs against top teams from around the world. He is known to be the main Sova, although he occasionally uses Skye in Split. According to the announcement post, Esperanza's "goal-oriented and smart decisions" set her apart from most players.

In contrast, Yoon “hyeoni” Hyun-seok has relatively little experience in Valorant. But first with DFR and then with NUTURN, these few months made a name for himself. He showcased his fascinating skills as a rookie. NUTURN noticed his extraordinary performance and got him signed. These two players are now part of DWG KIA's roster.

Following these changes, DWG KIA's roster is as follows:

Kim “Eugene” Su-yeong
Kim “t3xture” Na-ra
Lee "Jeong Hi" Jung-ha
Kang “iNTRO” Seung-gyun
Jeong "Esperanza" Jin-cheol
Yoon “hyeoni” Hyun-seok
