The highly anticipated Wild West game Evil West has been delayed

Evil West, the supernatural Wild West action game from Shadow Warrior 2 developer Flying Wild Hog, has been delayed for another two months. First announced for 2020 at the 2021 Game Awards, the game was originally delayed to September 2022 and has now been delayed again with a new release date of November 22, 2022.

The delay was announced via an image on Twitter, and the developers said that the reason for the delay was the high pressure of development across five platforms and multiple console versions. Evil West is slated for release on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

The announcement adds that Evil West was well received by viewers who checked out the demo at PAX East earlier this year, but the fixes required a few extra months of development time.

“We understand that game delays can be frustrating, but this is a necessary step to deliver the best experience for everyone,” the announcement adds.

Evil West is a third-person action game set in a supernatural version of the Wild West where players take on the story of vampire hunter Jesse Rentier to save the American frontier from the scourge of monsters. The game can be played alone or with a friend, in online co-op mode with Jesse's partner Edgar Gravenor.
