Fortnite Attack on Titan Gear (ODM gear) and Lightning Spears take their place in the constantly updated battle royale.
Fortnite continues unabated. As part of its latest update, the battle royale game adds gear from Attack on Titan that lets players jump around the island.
Hints of the update that brought the game to version 24.40 were first given in March when Fortnite's current season started. The update includes two Attack on Titan equipment: versatile mobility equipment or ODM that will “give the ability to grapple in the air and attack opponents below” and Thunder Spears, “arm-launched rockets”. These add-ons seem to fit well with the current season's faster gameplay, which includes motorcycles and grindable rails.
Apart from the gameplay features, the update also brings some characters from the anime. As previously known, battle pass owners will be able to unlock Eren Jaeger by completing a series of missions, but fans will be able to purchase both Captain Levi and Mikasa Ackermann from the item shop starting today. There's also a new location linked to the anime - but Epic says it's hidden. My advice is to look underground.
Of course, this is only the last of a growing list of anime collaborations in Fortnite so far, which includes Dragon Ball, Naruto, and My Hero Academia. Our only hope now is an end-of-season event featuring the real Titans, the Fortnite Attack on Titan Gear.
