The Fortnite Champion Series 2022 tournament will officially kick off on February 3, with a new Duos format and over $17 million in prizes in global competition, Epic Games announced today.

Each region will use a format similar to what they did when playing Trios last year: two open qualifiers leading to the semi-finals and the grand final. Three rounds will be played in each of the two eliminations, with the first elimination total of 23 games and the second elimination total of 26 games. All opposing teams will score points, but the top eight in each playoff will skip the semi-finals and go straight to the finals.

The remaining final teams will be determined by semi-finals divided into three sessions of five, five and six games respectively. The top six teams to score points from each of these sessions will advance to the finals.

The first qualifiers are from 17 – 18 February and 19 – 20 February. Any Duos wishing to enter the Competition must be placed higher in the Champions League (Division I, II or III) or Arena mode to be eligible for the competition.
