The Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2022 returns to Singapore and will be held on Sentosa, an island off the south coast. The international competition will kick off in May, bringing together teams from all over the world to compete for the title of world champion. Play-ins will begin on May 14 and the grand finals are scheduled for May 21.
FFWS 2022 Sentosa will take place with 13 teams from 22 Free Fire regions. Regions North America, Pakistan, Brazil, Taiwan, Indonesia, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Latin America, Malaysia and Cambodia, and the Philippines (MCP), Vietnam, India, Latin America, and Europe.
Twelve teams will compete in the preliminaries for a chance to qualify for the finals. The first two teams of this first stage will join the other 21 squads on May 10. FFWS 2022 Sentosa matchdays will take place over six rounds across three Free Fire maps. Teams will receive points proportional to their position in the match standings and the number of kills.
This is the second time the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) has taken place in Singapore. The final release in 2021 peaked at 5,4 million simultaneous online viewers, a groundbreaking esports event record in history.
