Will the Battle Pass not include new free and paid rewards?
Halo Infinite's head of design clarified an important point about the sci-fi shooter's Battle Pass system for its multiplayer mode. Jerry Hook said in a blog post that while it was originally suggested that each new Battle Pass tier would include new free and paid rewards, this is actually not true, at least not for launch.
“First of all, when discussing Battle Pass, I want to correct my language. I mentioned in our livestream that the Battle Pass system will always have free and paid rewards at every stage, this statement is incorrect for our launch.” said Hook.
Hook said that one of 343's goals is to "provide the player with great value for their time spent in Halo," whether they choose to purchase the Battle Pass for real money or unlock content only through progression.
“So, while not every stage is a free reward, there will be plenty of free rewards you can get throughout the entire Battle Pass of a season. (And yes, we still allow you to keep your Battle Pass after the season ends)," Hook said.
