Hidden Feature No VALORANT Players Known About The sky is the limit.
A VALORANT player shared a fact about Sova's drone that is unknown to most players, not because it's hidden, but because no one actually thought of testing it (except for that person, of course).
The feature, shared on May 29 in a Reddit thread, means that Sova's Owl Drone ability doesn't have a sensitivity limit, meaning it can have players look everywhere at once with a high enough mouse DPI. A Redditor demonstrated this feature in a video.
Players expressed how surprised they were when they discovered that the drone could spin as fast as the cursor could move. “Bro doesn't clean the angles, it cleans the whole map,” one player joked in the top-rated comments.
They were surprised to learn about this due to the drone's movement restrictions, which may imply that it has a limited movement speed. It feels very slow and cumbersome to control at first.
Whether this knowledge could be used to gain an edge in a match was a matter of debate in the comments. The drone's main use is to find enemies and shoot a dart at them, and that dart will continue to spawn them until they destroy them. Spinning too fast won't help with this, as players have to aim to fire their shots and if they move too fast they won't succeed.
On the other hand, the drone can be a useful tool to gather information about the enemy's location even without using darts. Players can pass the information they get to their allies, and quickly flipping the drone helps them get as much information as possible before the drone is shot down, so it can be useful in some situations.
VALORANT players explained in their comments that how fast the driver moves is determined by the mouse's DPI rather than sensitivity. Sensitivity can be adjusted directly in-game, while DPI determines the speed of movement of the cursor and is set directly at the setup of the mouse. So if your DPI is low, you may still have a hard time keeping the drone spinning too fast.
Even though Sova was released with the initial launch of VALORANT, players often find new details and angles on how to use their exploration abilities on the game's different maps.
