Intel today announced that it will host a digital release later this month focusing on first-generation Arc series graphics cards.

The broadcast will air Wednesday, March 30, and will give viewers a "first look" at Intel's new GPUs for laptops. While the company has announced its intention to launch Arc GPUs in laptops, desktops, and workstations, the company's upcoming release will focus exclusively on laptops.

Earlier this year, the company announced that the Arc series will first come to laptops with the Q1 release window, and the Arc series will come to desktops and workstations in Q2 and Q3, respectively.

Intel will soon announce new line of arc laptop GPUs

Intel, which was previously known for its laptop and desktop processors, announced last year that it would take AMD and Nvidia in the graphics card market. While we haven't yet seen what GPUs look like, especially desktop graphics cards, we do know that Intel has been playing around with the Arc series for a long time here. Its first-generation GPUs, codenamed "Alchemist", are one of four generations the tech giant is planning, and the other three are codenamed "Battlemage", "Celestial" and "Druid".

Intel says Arc graphics cards will offer real-time ray tracing, variable rate shading, video upscaling, and mesh shadowing. Additionally, we know that Intel has announced that it is making its own AI-accelerated supersampling technology called XeSS, which has been confirmed to be supported by several developers including Ubisoft and Kojima Productions. The PC port of Death Stranding: Director's Cut will be one of the first games to support XeSS.
