Xin “Leave” Huang won the 2021 Overwatch League MVP award for his impeccable DPS skills and impressive performance last year. Heroes from Genji to Tracer smashed through opponents, bringing Hunters closer to victory than ever before.
A true veteran of the competitive scene, Leave has made a name for himself as part of the Miraculous Youngster and garnered a lot of fans while taking part in the 2017 and 2018 Overwatch World Cup competitions as part of Team China. He joined the Chengdu Hunters in late 2019 after turning 18 and qualifying for a league contract.
The Chengdu Hunters as a whole rose through the 2020 off-season. Leave gained a lot of attention for his ability to reverse team fights by eliminating enemy rear lines. Thanks to their success on DPS heroes, the Hunters have participated in multiple tournaments and snatched second place in the East Zone for the postseason grouping.
No matter where Chengdu lands in the final season, 2021 will be the organization's most successful year, thanks in part to Leave's games.
Last year, Shanghai Dragons DPS Kim “Fleta” Byung-sun took home the MVP award for her amazing plays with damaging heroes. New York Excelsior flex support Bang “JJoNak” Sung-hyeon received the league's first MVP award in 2018.
