Where to Find Aluminum and Red Crystal in Lightyear Frontier?
If you are looking for the locations of Aluminum and Red Crystal deposits, I would be happy to give you some of the ones that have had the most positive impact on my progress.
Aluminum can be found in the starting area, The Meadows, and the Pine Heights area. Pine Heights is just west of The Meadows.
Red Crystal can only be found in Pine Heights (or at least that was the only place we found it during the countless hours I played the game).
You usually find ore deposits near hills and mountain formations and in caves. We never encountered one in the middle of flat land, so you can cross these areas off your exploration list. Sometimes, you will see a bearing that just has a hole on it instead of a weld. This means it hasn't spawned yet. You can feed the animals in the area to increase the resource (re)spawn rate the next day. This is useful to know if you are grinding for a particular material.
Best Spots for Farming Aluminum and Red Crystal
I have a nice spot for Aluminum in the starting area called The Meadows that you can check from time to time. In the screenshot below, I added the map location and what the location looks like in the game. Meadows with Yellow Forest at the border between. And there's a home for you to feed! The aluminum looks like silver rods sticking out of the ground.
There is a great spot in Pine Heights where you can find both Aluminum and Red Crystal. You can enter Pine Heights from the Meadows using the map hint below. Just below where the letters “Pine Heights” are located on the map, you will be able to find one of the many entrances. This is the best because it takes you directly to many Aluminum and Red Crystal deposits.
Both of these items are very important for crafting many items (I'm trying not to spoil things for you). That's why you should get a lot of these whenever you get the chance.
