Many of Gollum's adventures have yet to be told, however vital they play a role in JRR Tolkien's story. Let's take a look at what we know about the game
Gollum is a story and stealth-focused adventure game based on the character from JRR Tolkien's acclaimed Middle-earth (Lord of the Rings) stories. This game takes place in the first chapters of The Fellowship of the Ring, especially after Gollum lost the ring to Bilbo.
A line from the game's description reads, “Gollum decides to leave the Misty Mountains and embarks on a perilous journey that will take him from the dungeons of Barad-dûr to the realm of the Wood Elves in Mirkwood. Faced with the perils of his journey through Middle-earth, Gollum must sneak, climb, and use all his cunning." he is writing.
There's also a "split personality" mechanic in the game as Gollum has to deal with the struggles of his own mind that oscillates between Gollum and Smeagol. While the character Gollum isn't a fighter, he's perfectly suited to assassinate a careless foe when the opportunity arises, or to eliminate him in more creative and treacherous ways. The game will release on September 1 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
