Lost Ark: Argos Abyss Raid can be a tough challenge to beat. Here's exactly what players need to do to get around this.
Lost Ark Players wishing to challenge the Argos Abyss Raid will not be able to access the Raid until they reach the endgame content, which hints at the difficulty of beating it.
Lost Ark: Argos Abyss Raid Phase One
Initially, the team will be divided into two groups of four and the sun or moon will be assigned. Players should be careful which one they are as it will greatly affect their gameplay during Phase One.
The main mechanics of Argos at this stage revolve around the Sun and Moon. Players tagged as sun will have a yellow circle below them. Those labeled as moons will have a purple circle. Never match the color of the opposite debuff. they cannot touch.
Safe Point
Argos will create four safe spots per group and there can only be one player in each. Moonspots will always be closer to Argos than sunspots. Any player caught outside their safe spot will be knocked down by the shockwave from Argos.
One suggestion to deal with this is to use the numbers assigned to each player and match them to the north, east, south and west directions. This way, each player knows exactly which safe spot belongs to him.
Serenity
Immediately after the Safe Point, Argos will be surrounded by a dotted bar and enter the neutral phase. Argos must be kept neutral to allow teams to neutralize it for major damage when it expires. Failure to do so will result in a one-hit kill attack to the opposing team.
Teams can do this without causing any damage; however, this leaves them open to failure by not doing enough damage. Alternatively, they can arrange their attack to perform a team attack until Argos changes factions, then the other team can attack to restore neutrality. Player colors will change after Tranquility.
Sun and Moon Circles
Periodically, Argos will completely surround itself with a sun or moon ring. Players of a similar color can safely stand in the ring and fight Argos. Players of the opposite color can also enter the ring, but this is very conditional.
Above their heads will be a bar that ends in time. If the bar runs out completely, they will take massive damage and die. However, stepping outside of the ring will refill the bar and get them back into the fight.
Sun and Moon Spheres
Throughout the battle, Argos will summon four orbs of the same color. The team of that color will need to wet a piece of a sphere. Under no circumstances should any player wet more than one orb . This causes unnecessary damage and fainting.
If a player is dead, their orb must not be touched. When it explodes, the effects can be avoided. Cannot take damage from two orbs.
Big Pizza and Small Pizza
With Big Pizza, Argos divides the floor into eight pizza slices of purple and yellow. Players must struggle to reach the matching color in time. If they fail to do so, they will take massive damage. This attack comes in threes.
With Small Pizza, the pizza is polished to the ground five times to allow players to memorize the location of their safe spot. They will then need to quickly run to the right spots to avoid serious damage.
Lost Ark: Argos Abyss Raid Phase Two
Phase Two of the Raid continues the Sun and Moon mechanics and is split into five parts. Teams will be separated in the 2nd and 4th divisions and communication will be very important.
At the start of Stage Two, the sun or moon will be assigned to each of the players, as in Stage One. Argos is launching new attacks and there will be a second boss to fight.
First, Third and Fifth Chapters
Both teams will be in the Argos arena for the First, Third and Fifth Divisions of Phase Two. They will fight alongside Argos as they did in Phase One. However, Argos will have gained some strength.
His attacks are similar to those of Tier One, including his Pizza attacks. The main difference here will be that the colors of the teams will not change throughout the battle.
Part Two
The Sun team will move to another platform to fight the mini-boss Veorix. Primary attack mechanisms consist of headbutting, tail wagging and charges. Rarely, a wave of green particles or puddles are released that can cause damage and stun players who come into contact with them.
The two deletion mechanics require expert communication between the parties. A member of the lunar team should go to the edge of the Argos platform to view the Veorix platform for signals. Eight rotating circles indicate that the group must move to the center of the platform. An arrow indicates that the group should go to the corner it is pointing to.
Part Four
The Moon team will move to another platform to fight the mini-boss Tarvos. Primary attacks will be wave punches, spike attacks and explosive mines. Players on both platforms must destroy the totems on the edges of their maps. Leaving them standing for too long will cause the other team to be wiped out.
They are identified as yellow dots on the minimap. Players should make it a priority to destroy these totems as soon as possible.
Lost Ark: Argos Abyss Raid Phase Three
The mechanics go through another change in Phase Three, with three weather conditions taking center stage: Day, Night, and Dawn. During the daytime there will be a movement speed debuff, red seeds will explode and green seeds will remove the debuff.
During the night there will be a blind debuff, blue seeds will cause poison, and red seeds will remove the debuff. During Dawn, they will debuff damage over time, green seeds will trap players next to them, and blue seeds will protect players from being debuffed.
Sun or Moon Explosion
Argos will charge Solar energy during the Day hours and Moon energy during the Night hours, marking the two players with the corresponding mark on their heads. At the end, a fixed marker will be placed at the last location where players are on the map.
Argos will jump and release charged energy on landing. Anyone not in one of these signs will be killed instantly. Each pointer holds four players and they cannot be crossed or cancel each other out . This means that the two marked players must position themselves far enough apart to prevent this from happening.
Moon Drops
Argos will drop purple seeds throughout the map. Players must race to collect all the seeds as the Moon fills its energy. They can see where the seeds are by looking at the minimap.
If a single seed remains on the map when Argos releases its charged energy, all players will die instantly. To prevent this from happening, everyone will have to disperse to quickly collect the seeds.
Sun Fall
Another wipe attack involves Argos moving to the center of the map and charging the Sun's energy. At the same time, a sun drop will fall on a specific location, which is shown as a yellow dot on the minimap.
The goal is to have all players reach the sun before the energy is released. If even one player doesn't get to that point, everyone is wiped out.
Sun and Moon Explosion
At dawn, Argos will recharge both Sun and Moon energy. Blue seeds will also be planted, offering shields that can protect multiple players at once.
This is one of the easiest attacks to overcome as it is not a complete wipe. But players also need to be careful to avoid falling green seeds. These seeds will trap players, preventing them from reaching shield seeds. Lost Ark!
