Capcom has announced the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, a compilation of 2023 classic games to be released on Switch, PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One in 10. Originally available on the Game Boy Advance console, the first game in the series was released in 2001.

Similar to other retro compilations like Capcom Fighting Collection and Capcom Arcade Stadium, Legacy Collection will feature a gallery of over 1.000 illustrations and 150+ songs to explore. Also, the entire collection is available in Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. 1 and Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. It will also be available as two separate digital volumes.
If you're not familiar with the series, Mega Man Battle Network takes place in a near-future world where the internet has evolved into Network Society. People carry with them PETs, mobile devices equipped with sensitive programs called NetNavis, which they use to explore a network that has succumbed to a new type of cybercrime. As Lan Hikari and his NetNavi MegaMan.EXE, players will have to solve cases and crimes in this digital environment.
For this release, Capcom says it uses a high-resolution filter to remove jagged Game Boy Advance edges from games and create a smoother visual effect.
