Brazilian CS:GO team MIBR swept back 2-1 against Imperial in the PGL Antwerp Major Americas Regional Major Rankings (RMR) today, becoming the first Counter-Strike team in the world to secure one of the top 24 points of the Valve-sponsored tournament.

MIBR and Imperial played a tough series today. Imperial, which includes legendary names such as Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, Fernando “fer” Alvarenga and Lincoln “fnx” Lau, played a great game especially on the T side in Inferno and became the winner 16-12.

Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes dominated the second map, Vertigo, from the start and MIBR won the map comfortably 16-8. MIBR carried the momentum by winning the first six rounds on the Nuke map. FalleN and the team came close to tying the match in the middle of the second half, but MIBR was in a much more comfortable position because they only needed to win four CT rounds to take the map. MIBBR won the Nuke 16-10.

Imperial will take the stage again tomorrow to qualify for the PGL Antwerp Major. He will have two more opportunities to exit the American RMR.
