Netflix acquired Spry Fox Game Studio. Netflix has officially announced that it has added Seattle-based video game studio Spry Fox to its Netflix family, with a news it released on Monday.
Spry Fox becomes the sixth game studio to be acquired by Netflix. Existing subscribers of Netflix's streaming service can play free mobile games through the Netflix app, available without additional ads or in-app purchases. It continues to expand with different studio types that it adds to its family day by day.
It's approaching its one-year anniversary since adding games to its service for the first time. Last month, it was announced that the company will offer its subscribers 35 games and 55 games in total, which are being developed in its own studios, thanks to its collaborations with publishers such as Ubisoft.

Edery also emphasized on the Spry Fox blog: “We can continue to make the games we already do and want to make, but we will need more support and resources to develop these games and bring them to more people around the world. "We're excited to stop emphasizing how much it will pay off and instead focus on making the game as fun and rewarding as possible for our players and being able to collaborate with other creative people at Netflix."
