Like Smash Direct before it, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is getting its own showcase on October 15. The Animal Crossing Twitter account announced the news, promising 20-minute updates and announcements on what to expect for Nintendo's idyllic hit of the pandemic.

New Horizons is having a bit of a shortage of new content. Seasonal items used to decorate villagers' islands were added regularly, while new events were a little slower to launch. We've seen three new events this year: the Festivale party, which takes place in January, and May Day and National Museum Day, both of which take place in May. To engage players with new shines, New Horizons had tons of crossover events featuring Sanrio characters and Mario elements.

This new update, scheduled for November, appears to include the highly anticipated cafe. In previous Animal Crossings, the cafe was a place where villagers could casually chat after hours, while also allowing players to work in exchange for coffee beans and furniture.

New Horizons Direct will take place on October 15 at 10:00 EST.
