It's been known for some time that game director Hideo Kojima is working on a new project, but there was no indication as to what it might be. Now we know what Kojima is trying to do, when the famous actor Norman Reedus slipped out in an interview that he was working on Death Stranding's sequel.

Speaking to Leo magazine, Reedus, when asked about his work on the first Death Stranding, said "we've only just begun the latter," before explaining how much effort went into motion capture performance. “It took me maybe two or three years to finish the MoCap sessions and everything,” Reedus said. “It took a lot of work. But eventually the game came out and it won all these awards, and that was a huge thing, so we've just started the second part of it.”

While it's not exactly official confirmation, it's not a surprise either. Starring Hollywood talents such as Mads Mikkelsen and Léa Seydoux, Death Stranding was Kojima's first game to be released after his much-publicized departure from Konami, where he directed the Metal Gear Solid series. Death Stranding eventually became a popular game that was expanded with a director's cut and a PC port.

The game probably won't be out anytime soon, but it will happen next month. Game Summer Fest An official announcement will be made very soon.
