Both Freedom Wars and Soul Sacrifice: Delta servers will be shutting down on December 24. Both were PlayStation Vita exclusive games developed by Japan Studio for the handheld system.
Currently, only PlayStation Japan has announced server shutdowns, so it's unclear if it will expand to other regions. However, it wouldn't be surprising if an official confirmation is coming soon.
Sony is gradually eliminating the functionality of legacy systems and content. Earlier this year Sony announced it would be closing its PS3 and PS Vita digital stores, but after a backlash from fans decision took it back. But Sony has made it harder to buy PS3 and Vita digital content by removing payment options from digital storefronts last month.
In GameSpot's Soul Sacrifice review, Jeremy Signor said, "It's not hassle-free, but Soul Sacrifice's strong identity and rewarding dedication to decision-making is reason enough to try your hand at getting rid of evil arch-nemesis."
