In the league stage of the $6 million PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2021, 40 teams will compete for a place in the grand finals. The league will be online and split into East and West, with 20 teams competing in each region.

Tencent announced today that the total prize pool for the league stage is $1.470.000. This will likely be split evenly between West and East, costing $725.000 per region. The remaining $20.000 will be rewarded for individual performances by players.

The full schedule for PMGC 2021 is as follows.

League (East and West): 30 November – 19 December

League Finals (East and West): 22 – 24 December

PMGC 2021 Grand Finals: January 21-23

The format of the league in the West and East is the same. It will take place over three weeks, from November 30 to December 19. Weekday matches will be played every Tuesday and Wednesday. From there, the top 16 teams will advance to that week's Super Weekend, which will take place Friday through Sunday.

As weekday points reset each week, Super Weekend will award key championship points that will determine the 16 teams that will advance to the League Finals.

The League Finals will take place from 22-24 December. The top 16 teams from the Super Weekends in each region will play 2021 matches (six per day) to determine the PMGC 18 finalists. Nine teams from the East will advance to the grand finals, while the top six teams from the West will qualify.

The PMGC 2021 Grand Finals will take place from January 21-23. Besides the 15 teams in the league stage, one team will receive direct invitations to the competition. Tencent has yet to reveal who it is. With $1.470.000 awarded in the league stage, the grand finals will have a massive prize pool of $4.530.000.
