One of the main characters of Riot Games' hit animated series Arcane, Silco is set to join Teamfight Tactics as a playable unit next year. However, Riot Games has confirmed that Silco will not be on the League of Legends champion roster.
“Often, we can adapt League of Legends champions to Teamfight Tactics by working hard, but Silco isn't coming to League of Legends so we had to build it from scratch.
Silco, an original character designed specifically for Arcane, debuted in the LoL universe during the premiere of the Netflix series earlier this year. It will continue to grow in the world of Runeterra next year when it becomes the first originally sculpted Teamfight Tactics unit not based on a pre-existing LoL champion. It's unclear what Silco can do in TFT at the moment, but Riot has yet to reveal the unit's stats, cost or capabilities.
While Silco won't be joining the LoL roster, Riot already has plans for the upcoming champions of 2022, including a "kinetic shooter that's always on the go," according to a Champion Roadmap post earlier this year.
Also, Riot hinted that other characters from outside the LoL roster could potentially join TFT. “While Silco is the first non-LoL unit to join TFT, there may be more foreigners joining us in the future,” Riot said. “Perhaps some are entirely outside of Runeterra.”
