Silent Hill 2 Remake Officially Announced

After months of rumors and news, Konami has released Silent Hill Transmission. live stream officially approved the Silent Hill 2 Remake project during Shown in the broadcast with an impressive trailer, the game appears to have been rebuilt from the ground up, keeping the essence of the 2001 original.

The trailer gives us a look at the main character, James Sunderland, who travels to Silent Hill to rescue his long-believed wife, Mary. In the trailer, we see some of the series' signature elements, including the fog-filled streets and a few familiar enemies. (We also have the iconic pyramid-headed enemy, of course)

Silent Hill 2 Remake is being developed by Bloober Team. The game will be released for Playstation 5 and PC (via Steam). This project is just one of the currently under construction Silent Hill projects where Silent Hill: Ascension and Silent Hill F are in dde development. Additionally, a number of special collectibles are being built to mark the return of Silent Hill 2, including an Inu-End coin bank.

The Silent Hill series was a dead game series for nearly a decade before Hideo Kojima left Konami. A Silent Hill 2 movie adaptation is in the works, along with new projects called Silent Hill: Townfall, Silent Hill: Ascension, and Silent Hill F.
