Developer Riot Games is preparing to introduce a new frosted skin pack called Cold Steel (Cryostasis) to the VALORANT store.
Aptly named “Cold Steel,” the icy pack will include Operator, Classic, Bulldog, and Vandal skins, as well as a new blade skin (Hammer). Each level of the special edition skin will replace the aforementioned VALORANT weapons, adding crystals reminiscent of the winter moods of the holidays. It is also estimated that the set will total 7100VP.
What day are Cold Steel skins coming to the Valorant store?
Cold Steel seti on Wednesday, December 14 will be available for sale so VALORANT players can get cool weapon skins by the end of next week.
Players will likely enjoy the massive hammer drill, which is the highlight of the pack. It differs markedly from other melee weapons in the game in its enormous size and unique design.
The unique feature of the pack is the slow freeze effect that can be applied to weapons when the skin is maximized.
For example, when using Vandal, the weapon will slowly thaw and thaw as players start firing to finally reveal the bleak steampunk-esque design.
Weapon skins have a slight sound change to normal shots, but not as noticeable as the Ion set, for example. If that's what players are interested in, the pack won't be for them.
But the VALORANT suite is clean and doesn't overdo it with special effects. The finish is simple, the enemy freezes in mid-air as snow slowly falls around them. The ground below the enemy turns into an icy ground.
