Good news if you're into zombies, The Walking Dead empire recently announced a new spin-off called Tales of the Walking Dead. According to Deadline, the show will be an anthology featuring both new and familiar faces from the Walking Dead universe and will be available to your eyeballs in the summer of 2022.
“More than any other series in the Walking Dead Universe, this series advances on new voices, perspectives and ideas and brings life stories unlike anything we've told before,” said Scott M. Gimple, chief content officer for The Walking Dead Universe. , told Deadline.
You can expect six episodes in the first season of Tales of the Walking Dead, scheduled for next summer on AMC. Leading the series will be Channing Powell, who has ample experience in the series after serving as a writer and producer on both The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead.
“I started as a fan of The Walking Dead and ended up as showrunner for what will hopefully be one of its most unique spin-offs,” he said.
“I'm so grateful to AMC and Scott for supporting me and my writers as we push, shoot and poke the boundaries of this madness and this universe. There is so much about the flagship show.”
