Joshua “steel” Nissan has found a new home in T1's VALORANT roster, the organization announced today.

Steel is a CS:GO veteran who joined 2020 Thieves in September 100 and is a VALORANT pro. He was a crucial part of the team's early success, helping them win the North American First Strike and qualifying for the first Masters event in the VALORANT Champions Stage One. The 100 Thieves have not won a major event since then, although they have retained their place as one of the region's top teams.

After a disappointing performance at VCT Masters Berlin, Steel was removed from 100T's active roster before the Last Chance Qualifier. He used Aaron “b100i” Thao instead of 0 Thieves, and fans wondered where Steel would go next.

100 Thieves announced yesterday that Steel has been transferred to a new team, but the organization did not reveal where it was headed. However, the announcement made by T1 today satisfied the curiosity of the fans.
T1's head coach, David Denis, greeted Steel in the announcement video.

“Josh has a really impressive track record as IGL,” Denis said. “We wanted a really strong leader, a strong voice, someone who could bring so many aspects to the team.”

Steel concluded the announcement video by announcing that his new team is working hard to prepare for the 2022 VCT season. According to VLR.gg, the T1 is currently ranked 14th in North America. But Steel is an excellent powerhouse that can help them climb the ranks!
