Rocksteady Studios is ready to show off the sequel to 2015's Batman: Arkham Knight and has released the first story trailer of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League on DC Fandome.

The trailer opens with the Squad (Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, and King Shark) taking on a series of powerful targets in Metropolis before being introduced by Amanda Waller to their roles in Task Force X: Justice League. In the previous trailer, we learned that Superman is the Squad's alpha target, but now we know that it's not just DC's boy scout who has turned evil that needs to be removed. We see menacing footage of Green Lantern John Stewart, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and an unlikely group of antiheroes with a hand resembling a Batmobile and then holding a gun (which could be Batman!).

The Justice League members are not acting of their own free will, each showing signs of corruption on their faces and around their eyes. Brainiac's metal tentacles hang ominously above Metropolis, providing a big clue as to why it has become the greatest threat to Earth's defenders. We also see DC's gallery of some thugs, one of whom lost his head, and the classic Batman villain Penguin, the ass of a brutal prank from Suicide Squad.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will hit theaters in 2022 and does not have a specific release date yet. You can play on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
