While most moderately successful teams during the Dota Pro Circuit go through a period of rebuilding or replacing the team before next season, each region's top players weigh their options to see if they can improve on potential changes. T1 is in this position and has decided to keep the organizational essence together.
T1 has signed new contracts with his entire roster, including head coach and Dota 2 legend March. This means that in an already vibrant region like Southeast Asia, T1 has an even greater edge with Kuku, 23savage, Xepher, Whitemon and Karl, arguably one of the best five-man squads in the game.
The majority of T1's roster is made up of former Geek Fam players who went their separate ways after the organization released the roster last September. T1 was quick to catch up with Xepher and Karl and would later bring Whitemon and Kuku in season one of the 2021 DPC. This core moved the team to third place and ticket to the ONE Esports Singapore Major, but they would have been one of the first teams to be eliminated while playing without Kuku due to health issues.
Now, T1 is easily a SEA favorite into the next DPC season, especially given that Fnatic, TNC Predator, and several other teams vying for that title are still going through major changes.
