Dead by Daylight Series

Dead By Daylight was released in 2016 as a meager but well-meaning asymmetrical slasher horror game in which various stunned teenagers delicately evade the archetypal slasher movie villains. By 2021, it had become the Smash Bros. of horror games, bringing iconic killer characters like Freddy Kreuger and Michael Myers to legendary horror game villains like Resident Evil's Nemesis and Silent Hill's Pyramid Head. Dead By Daylight continues to evolve on its predecessor, routinely adding new characters, features, and more to its rock-solid foundation. One thing remains constant, though: Playing the game as a group of seemingly helpless survivors in one round is just as fun as playing the next round as a gigantic, powerful, horror movie monster. – Brian Altano

Dead Space Series

Dead Space it relies on the element of surprise; He knows how to show those moments when something with seven guns finally comes out of the vents. For long stretches, you'll go down a corridor, with brutal violence in the background. You hear the rustling of creatures. The tension is reaching breaking point. If you're lucky, the game offers the satisfaction of killing everything around you. Most of the time, the monstrosities in the game are in the shadows and you don't know when a screaming death will begin when you carefully rush through the volcano.

Dead Space 2: This horror series that started with Dead Space, released by Electronic Arts in 2008; Dead Space 2 It manages to take the fear, excitement and adrenaline to the next level. Dead Space 2, one of the scariest space-themed horror games in the game world, makes the space environment, which is already scary with its atmosphere and isolation, even more terrifying.

Crew killed as a result of the accident on the USG Ishimura spacecraft Creatures called "Necromorphs" We try to survive on our own in this dark and very disturbing environment with our main character Isaac. Dead Space 2, which has a high level of bodily horror theme, also hosts cosmic horror elements like HP Lovecraft.

Slender: The Eight Pages

Indie horror game developed and distributed free of charge by arsec Productions Slender: The Eight PagesAlthough it is short, it can give horror game lovers really high-hearted minutes. With its simple graphics and independent producer, Slender proves that the games do not need big budgets to be effective, just like the low-budget "Foundation" horror movies that are very effective, it manages to scare us players quite a lot.

Outlast and Outlas 2 Series

Even if you are in a known place, Outlast it's scary as hell. You are a night vision camera and a journalist who broke into an insane asylum with nothing else on your mind. Most of the gameplay takes place in the dark, which means the camera has become your best friend. The camera's batteries ran out quickly, forcing you to make wise choices. These; It's about hiding, watching and running really fast.

The Evil Within and The Evil Within 2 Series

Developed by Shinji Mikami, who worked at Tanga Gameworks and created various Resident Evil games in his time. The Evil WithinOne of the strongest names in Far East themed horror games. The Evil Within, which has a psychedelic structure in which imagination and reality are mixed and bodily fear is at the highest level, is a horror game that you can play without blinking.

The Evil Within, which is highly appreciated with its dark, scary place designs and grotesque monsters in the game, reflects the emotions of excitement and tension to us, while making our anxiety peak. From the Silent Hill games Also heavily inspired, The Evil Within takes players on an uncanny psychological journey of long hours. Afterwards, the sequel of the series The Evil Within 2 came out.

Silent Hill Series

As we come to the end of our list, we are in the category of horror games, which has become a cult. Silent Hill 2 welcomes. Silent Hill 2, the game that inspired many survival horror games on this list or not, and put a generation to sleep with the lights on at night, is one of the most loved and praised games of the early 2000s. Described as an excellent horror game, Silent Hill 2 successfully gathers all the horror techniques used until 2001 under a single game roof.

Combining the scary abandoned town theme with supernatural beings, Silent Hill 2 is technically one of the first and most successful games to introduce these themes to the game world. Not content with abandoned towns and frightening supernatural beings, Silent Hill 2 also incorporates elements of psychological horror, allowing players to enter their minds and doubt their own sanity. Except for all that we've talked about Pyramid head reality has a background story and metaphor that will create its own content.

Alan Wake and Alan Wake 2

The game, which debuted in 2010, is about the best-selling thriller author Alan Wake spending time with his wife, Alice, in Bright Falls, Washington. tatil It includes his wife's disappearance and solving the mystery behind him, and Alan's revival of characters in a novel he doesn't remember writing at that time, and seeing the hallucinations of these characters. Even if it didn't scare everyone, the story of the game is like something out of Hollywood movies. Remedy has done an amazing job. Game I also recommend you to watch the Night Springs program on the televisions in it. Do not be without light.

Metro Redux Trilogy Series

Although subway games come to the fore as action, it does not change that it is a horror game. You will see that there are creatures worse than the Nazis as you wander through the pitch-dark and abandoned tunnels of the Subway with Artyom. If you want to go outside, we can say that the outside is worse than the inside. Remember to use your bullets and gas mask judiciously.

AMNESIA Series

Amnesia: The Dark Descent, its expansion Justine, and its sequel, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, make up one of the best horror series of all time.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent is one of the older games on this list, but it's here for good reason: its gameplay mechanics helped spur a rebirth of the survival horror genre (no pun intended in Amnesia's latest sequel) that has drifted into action game territory. Amnesia begins when the hero Daniel wakes up alone in a dark castle of Brennenburg. He has no memory of how he got there (hence the name) and as he explores his surroundings, he realizes that there is a shadow following him. Wandering around the castle are other creatures that will chase you if they spot you. It wouldn't be a big deal if you could resist, but you can't. Your only defense is to run and often hide in the dark – the opposite of more action-oriented horror games like Resident Evil 5, which came out a year ago. But here's the kicker: stay in the dark too long and you'll lose your mind. It's not the first game to feature a "sanity meter" (Eternal Darkness says hello), but its implementation in Amnesia is pretty ingenious. You'll have to balance the game's use of light to see what you're doing by hiding in the dark to avoid monsters, the same darkness that is slowly driving you crazy. Amnesia's sequels and follow-ups build on The Dark Descent's mechanics in clever ways, and other developers have taken notice. The Dark Descent still stands today, even if the controls and interface are a little rough on consoles, so if you're in the mood to sit in the dark for 10 hours, take a trip to Brennenburg. Just don't stay too long in the dark. – Jobert Atienza

STALKER Series

Few games have successfully captured such an overwhelming sense of gloom and foresight as the STALKER trilogy has. Whether you're racing deep into Chernobyl to the site of the world's worst nuclear incident, or discovering hidden secrets in the weathered city of Pripyat, this vibrant, breathing world is poised to destroy life in your body. So, if you feel like fighting from head to toe against the spirits of the underworld or the zombieized enemies who were once your comrades and bloodsucking mutants, it's time to visit the Chernobyl exclusion zone. – Jesse Gomez

Condemned: Criminal Origins

In a word, brutal. There are quite a few first-person horror games out there, but not many whose experience is this wildly frustrating. The game can make you tremble. The story somehow turns into an alien conspiracy and other stupidity, but that doesn't matter much when you're in the middle of a fistfight beneath the city streets. You can experience many “ah …” moments in this game with minimal light and plenty of shadows.

Sum

We wandered in the dark forest trying to find the notes and the famous Dark Web The game in which we escape from the monster Slender Man, although the graphics are bad, can reflect the theme of evil in the dark and the concept of escaping from the dark in a very realistic and exciting way. Slender, in its general structure, looks like frightening videos from the so-called Dark Web.

legend horror game Amnesia: The Dark Descent'SOMA, another horror game released by the makers of; A sci-fi horror game with a shocking story that touches on identity, consciousness and what it means to be human. SOMA, which was highly appreciated by both critics and actors, tells the story of our main character trying to survive in an underwater facility where machines start to think he is human, without any contact with the outside world.

Just like Frictional Games' previous horror games, SOMA focuses on solving the mystery and surviving by sneaking through the enemies; the thrill of hiding from evil and the tension of escaping something, with its dark atmosphere it can reflect on us quite successfully.

Aliens Vs. Predator

In the game, which is more or less similar to the movie, a difficult road will be waiting for you when you become a Marine. Because you're human, you don't have the speed of the Alien or the power of the Predator. Your only possibility is to use your high-level weapons. Aliens and Predators will follow you to tear you apart.

Resident Evil Series

The company employees, who were thought to have died, lost their consciousness and lost their mental balance and turned into cannibals, that is, zombies, thirsty for flesh and blood. A zombie bite or even a small scratch can spread the virus and turn you into one of them in a matter of hours..

Resident Evil 2: Remake, A survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. Players control police officer Leon S. Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield as they try to escape Raccoon City during the zombie apocalypse.

Resident Evil 3 The date is September 28, 1998. The biological virus epidemic made by Umbrella Company spread to the city and the dead who came back to life in Raccoon City could not be contained. Jill Valentine, a member of STARS (Special Tactics and Rescue Service), is caught in the middle of the chaos. This year's remake of Resident Evil 3 shows a different side to the infamous outbreak we first saw in Resident Evil 2. After surviving the Spencer Mansion incident, Jill Valentine must flee the zombie-filled Raccoon City while being pursued by the bloodthirsty Nemesis. RE3 requires resource management, puzzle solving and a cool hand to eliminate zombies and other monsters that threaten your life. It definitely offers a shorter experience than the Resident Evil 2 remake.

Resident Evil 4 When it was learned that Leon Scott Kennedy was a survivor of the city, he was taken into the US spy. Six years later, Leon is assigned to rescue Ashley Graham, the daughter of the US president. Ashley has been kidnapped by an unknown organization. Leon goes to a village in Spain for his mission.

resident evil 5 Along with Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, the best fighter in Resident Evil history in my opinion, is sent to Africa to stop a bizarre shipment of bioweapons. Together with BSAA member Sheva Alomar, they will have to deal with an epidemic that is starting to spread in Africa.

resident evil 6 Jake Muller, a mercenary of Edonia's Liberation Army, who is the son of Albert Wesker, manages to escape from the army during a bioterrorist attack. Jake continues his journey as a partner with Sherry Birkin.

resident evil 7 The story of the game Ethan Winters searches for his wife, Mia, in an abandoned house where the Baker family lives.. Ethan must use a variety of weapons to fight against the Baker family and creatures called Stereotypes.

resident evil 8 CChris Redfield, the protagonist of previous Resident Evil games, suddenly appears, disrupting their peaceful life, causing the devastated Ethan Winters to find himself in a mysterious village in Europe, and plunges Ethan into a new nightmare.

Resident Evil is worth playing for fans of horror and zombies. And once you've finished your first game, you can go on victory laps with unlocking features like more powerful weapons, endless ammo, and more.

Blair Witch

The year is 1996. It is located near Burkittsville, Maryland, USA. Black Hills ForestA little boy goes missing. Ellis, an ex-cop, goes looking for the boy with his dog Bullet. A calm and sunny day leaves its place to a gloomy and inextricable darkness as it goes deeper into the forest. Ellis, who has post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and feels guilty about some of the things he has done in the past, tries to search for clues and find the missing child with his dog Bullet in the vast Black Hills Forest during a nightmarish night. As time progresses and the effect of the night increases, psychological distress and guilt begin to weigh on Ellis. In a forest dominated by a blinding darkness, gloom and night breeze, it is very creepy to feel the approach of fear to your bones. But making the player feel this is the most basic purpose of a horror game. Blair Witch is a very successful game in this respect. As you realize what kind of predicament you are in and observe Ellis' past through flashbacks, the dangers of the forest will mingle with what lies in Ellis' subconscious and it will be difficult to distinguish between reality and fantasy. Ellis' dog Bullet plays a very important role in the game. In a way, the progress of the story depends on Bullet. Thanks to her finding something in the woods, Ellis notices clues and discovers new places.

UNTIL DAWN

The survival horror adventure tells the story of a group of friends who take a winter getaway to a snowy mountain hut where two of their friends disappeared a year ago and were never found. It's a stereotypical setup for a slasher movie complete with flirty teenagers and a free-range masked stalker, but the story takes unexpected and memorable turns along the way. Most importantly, Until Dawn is dependent on player choice, and the consequences of your choices are deeply felt throughout the entire game. In your first game, if your action causes someone to be killed, there is no recurrence, you can only return to certain sections to make a different decision in subsequent games.

There is replayability in Until Dawn, as the story diverges in so many ways and has multiple endings. While technically a single-player game, Until Dawn is equally fun to play with a group of people. While it's a bit long for a single session - it takes eight or nine hours to complete - you can easily split Until Dawn into two or three sessions and play with your friends, with each person choosing a character to control. After playing this both alone and with friends, I can say it's fun to experience it over and over, and there are still characters I can't figure out how to survive.

LITTLE NIGHTMARES

With Little Nightmares 2 confirmed to be released on February 11, 2021, there's never been a better time to play the original. Little Nightmares is a Tim Burton-like puzzle-platformer game originally released in 2017 that follows a small, hungry boy in a yellow raincoat known simply as Six. The boy is stranded on a terrifying mostly underwater island called Maw, home to many strange and pitiful creatures. From a long-armed, blind doorman to a creepy, dark Lady, Six must avoid being caught exiting the Maw.

Little Nightmares is much scarier than you might expect, I was nervous my entire game. Like Playdead's Limbo or Inside, Little Nightmares has no dialogue, allowing the creepy environments and tense atmosphere to escalate all the tension. It ends up being a bit open-ended, but definitely a satisfying ending. The game also received three DLC episodes, and you can get the full experience in Little Nightmares: Complete Edition.
