The Last of Us remake officially out. After a leak earlier yesterday Summer Game Fest Live has confirmed that a remake of The Last of Us Part 1 has been made for both PS5 and PC. The announcement came after the game was discovered early on a PlayStation Store listing, with a trailer leaked along with it. As said in the leak, the game is scheduled to release for PS2 (and later PC) on September 5.
The game was “built from the ground up for PlayStation 5” and will feature updated and improved AI and 60fps support, among other improvements. Although there is no release date in the trailer, it turned out that The Last of Us will come to PC in addition to the PlayStation 5 version. However, the developers said that it will come to PC "shortly" after the PS5's release. Left Behind DLC will be included in The Last of Us remake.

This will continue PlayStation's continued trend of releasing some of its biggest exclusive titles on PC, allowing a wider audience to experience its story-rich titles.
Multiple versions of the game are on the way, including Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Firefly Editions. The Digital Deluxe edition comes with "early unlock" of the following items:
- Increased Production Rate Ability
- Increased Healing Speed Skill
- 9mm Reload Speed Boost feature
- Rifle Magazine Boost feature
- Explosive Arrows Gameplay Modifier
- Flicker Punk Filter
- Speedrun mode
- Six Weapon Costumes: Black Gold 9mm Pistol, Silver Filigree 9mm Pistol, Rubber Tactical Shotgun, Sculpted Oak Shotgun, Arctic White Bow, Carbon Black Bow
Available exclusively on direct.playstation.com in the US, the Firefly Edition includes early unlock features, a Steelbook case, and Last of Us: American Dreams 1-4 comics with new art.
Additionally, pre-orders for any version of The Last of Us remake for PS5 will come with the following items:
- Bonus Boosts to upgrade your skill set
- Bonus Weapon Parts to upgrade your arsenal
Set in post-apocalyptic America, The Last of Us tells the story of a man named Joel and his hot-tempered daughter-in-law, Ellie, as they travel the country to find a cure for the fungus epidemic that has devastated the world.
Sony released the Last of Us Remastered version of the game in 2014. Another of Naughty Dog's upcoming projects: Last of Us multiplayer mode is in development. The game will be released separately from the regular series.
