Blizzard announced today that Overwatch 2 beta access has arrived via Twitch Drop, which can be earned by watching select streamers on Twitch.

The partnership between Blizzard and Twitch will enable beta access drops for a number of Twitch streamers from 27:12 pm to 00:20 pm on April 00. Eligible streamers include xQc, A_Seagull, AnneMunition, Surefour, Pokimane, mendo, LuluLuvely, Stylosa and many more.

Viewers can become eligible for a beta drop by watching any of the current broadcasts for four hours. To be eligible, viewers must link their Battle.net account to their Twitch account and have an Overwatch license associated with their Battle.net account.

Once the drop is rewarded, players can log into their Battle.net account, click the Overwatch icon located at the top of the launcher homepage, then go to the Game Edition menu in the bottom left and select “Overwatch 2.

Blizzard said, “Don't worry if you can't get into the PvP Beta at launch or via the drop program. You didn't miss all your chances to get into the action. There will be Overwatch 2 beta releases and content for everyone to watch.” said

The first Overwatch 2 closed beta will run from April 26 to May 17, but more betas are planned for the future.
