While the Netflix company continues to develop its games section for its subscribers, it plans to enrich its mobile game library with Ubisoft games.
As part of its Ubisoft Forward event yesterday, the developer announced that it has released multiple games for Netflix Games, including Valiant Hearts 2 (January 2023), Mighty Quest 2 (2023), and a new Assassin's Creed game (no date). There will be no ads or in-app purchases for any of these games.
Netflix's gaming boss, Mike Verdu, appeared in a video during the Forward event. However, Ubisoft did not share any concrete details about the games that will be released for Netflix's game library.
Netflix aims to have a library of more than 2022 games for subscribers by the end of 50, and partnering with studios like Ubisoft seems like one way to help the company get to this point.
In addition to partnerships with major studios such as Ubisoft, Netflix; Boss Fight Entertainment was busy buying game studios like Next Games and Night School Studio.
Additionally, Netflix and Ubisoft are working together on a live-action TV series that was first announced in 2020.
