A recent WWE financial meeting has officially revealed the existence of a soon-to-be-announced wrestling-based RPG game.

On WWE's last earnings call (Eurogamer Stephanie McMahon, the emerging chief brand manager (as reported by the company), said the game is a priority for the company (as 80% of its viewers are gamers) and will expand that section with the new RPG game.

He briefly touched on the game, only saying that WWE has "signed a new deal to be announced shortly in the RPG gaming space," but he mentioned it separately from the main WWE franchise and hinted that RPG would be something entirely new.

WWE 2K22, the latest game in the WWE series, was released in March after a year-long hiatus after 2K20's pretty bad debut.

Stephanie McMahon: “After taking a little over a year hiatus to develop the game engine, we've worked hand-in-hand with our partners at Take-Two Interactive, listened to our customers and fans, and regained their trust by delivering a game that exceeded their expectations. "said.

“WWE 2K22 has been a commercial and critical success with over 5,6 million hours of views on Twitch to date, with the highest Metacritic scores on both Xbox and PlayStation platforms.”

The rest of WWE's gaming division also appears to be doing well, and McMahon says its mobile games (SuperCard and Champions) continue to perform strongly.
