The Tokyo Game Show 2021 schedule was announced last week, and in it we learned that the Xbox will get a virtual appearance via a showcase. Microsoft has announced when this showcase will be released.

In a new blog post on Xbox Wire today, the company announced that the Tokyo Game Show virtual stream will go live on Thursday, September 30 at 18.00 PM. JST at 29:05 EST/00:2 PST on September 00.

The company also revealed a few details about what to expect during the stream.

“As games close the distance between people, we invite our players to celebrate the joy and community of playing games with us,” the blog post says. “Similar to last year, it will be a curated show for our players in Japan and Asia.”

Xbox also said it expects the latest regional updates on previously announced games to arrive later this year. You probably won't hear "World Premier" during the showcase.

That doesn't mean the rest of the Tokyo Game Show event won't include premieres and the like. Last year's show featured the first gameplay of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, new Monster Hunter Rise gameplay, and more.

If you're wondering what to expect beyond Xbox's streaming, you can visit the official TGS 2021 site for the full livestream schedule. The Xbox stream will be available as part of the main TGS 2021 show, but will also be available to watch on Xbox's social channels in Japan, Korea, and China.
