Xbox launches the next series of free games for Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers announced. Windbound and Bomber Crew Deluxe Edition will be available for free in October. This month marks the first month in the Games With Gold series to not include original Xbox or Xbox 360 games. Unfortunately, that means there are only two games on the roster for October and apparently for the months to come.
Although Microsoft announced this change months ago, it's a little annoying to see Games with Gold giveaways dropping from four to two each month, especially since backward compatible games are often more exciting than Xbox One games.
All month long subscribers enjoy an adventure game set in the Forbidden Islands. windboundthey can get it. To survive and succeed in this mysterious chain of islands, Kara must build a makeshift boat to seek resources, craft weapons and even sail the seas. With harsh elements and a variety of fantastic creatures roaming the lands, the Forbidden Islands is a dangerous but beautiful island. Windbound was released in 2020 to mixed reviews, but anyone who loves survival-adventure games should definitely give this game a try.

As the commander of a bomber crew, it's your job to choose the right crew members, prepare your bomber, and most importantly, manage your resources and complete missions during the mission. Each crew member is procedurally generated and has its own unique characteristics. You can't get too hooked though, as Bomber Crew has permadeath. With its colorful cartoon visuals and cheerful dialogues, Bomber Crew appeals to a general age audience. Unlike many WW2 games, Bomber Crew is kid-friendly, so it will be a good game for younger players to try out next month.
