The new Xbox Home UI Alpha is currently available for testing by Xbox Insider users.

New Xbox The Home UI is on the way and some users can try it right now. Xbox Insiders' Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead rings can now test the new UI on home consoles.

The UI adds a new quick access menu at the top of the Home Screen, making it easier to navigate through the game library, store, Game Pass, search and settings. The layout is now simpler and there is more space to show the background. The art is also more responsive, and hovering over each game's tile shows new artwork associated with that game. A new button in the second row now opens "My Games & Apps". More features may be on the way as the UI is not yet complete. For example, some testers may see notifications in the corresponding tiles, such as a notification that this game is due for an update, or a reminder that a game on their wishlist is on sale.

Here is an example of what the new UI looks like with more space for a background image and quick access menu.

Xbox WireAccording to a post in , the new UI builds on feedback from previous iterations of the design. The team received feedback that the top of the Home felt crowded and there wasn't enough room to enjoy the background. This new version was created after taking a step back from alpha testing and working on new prototypes with QA. Over time more users will be able to test the UI and the full version will eventually be released for all consoles.
