A Multiplayer Mode Has Been Released for Stray

Stray is a 2022 adventure game developed by BlueTwelve Studio and published by Annapurna Interactive.

Mod maker KangieDanie has created a split-screen multiplayer mod that lets you play Stray in co-op on PC.

KangieDanieannounced that the mod is currently in very early development. In other words, if you decide to try the mod, it states that you will inevitably encounter some bugs as it is in early access.

Adding another player to the game is as simple as pressing F9, but there is currently no mentioned method to remove players. KangieDanie is also unsure about how many players can participate or how the game will handle more than two cats.

Other known bugs include visual glitches, players getting stuck on leveling up, and the screen is only visible to the first player. Issues with controllers not detected in the game are currently being investigated by KangieDanie.

User JADabandon asked KangieDanie if playing online is covered by this mod, and they responded by confirming that their mod will only focus on running local co-op. However, they state that they know someone working on the online co-op.
