Crossplay: Crossplay is a modern feature that allows players on different platforms of a game to play together. It's always nice to have more people to play with, but console gamers may turn this feature off because the mouse and keyboard offer faster or controlled gameplay and PC gamers are more likely to cheat. PC gamers, on the other hand, prefer to avoid the aim assist sometimes available to console players. However, this is not exactly an option for Xbox and PC players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

RedditAccording to many complaints in , there is no option to disable Modern Warfare 2 cross play on Xbox or PC. What makes the situation really weird is that multiple reddit users said the PlayStation 5 version of the game was able to turn off the crossplay feature. Eurogamer Confirmed the PS5 menu option is available.

It's possible to turn off crossplay on Xbox consoles by completely disabling the feature in the console's privacy settings, but this turns off crossplay in other games as well, not just Modern Warfare 2. This creates a different challenge for them.

If Activision made crossplay mandatory for everyone, it would be at least understandable, if not a good thing. But making it an option on one console and mandatory on the other is a strange decision (assuming it's not a bug, of course.) I think this is highly unlikely. In essence, removing the crossplay feature is a rejection. whatever the core functionality and purpose, it's not going to make anyone happy.
