How to create a Starfield Cargo Link? Easily move resources between your remote outposts.
Establishing a Cargo Link between locations in Starfield is a quick way to move resources from one outpost to another. You can even use it as temporary resource storage if necessary. If you decide to go big by building outposts, you'll need a lot of resources, and shipping supplies between different locations is a breeze with Cargo Links – once you know how to set them up.
Additionally, supply missions offer credits if you can set up a Cargo Link to a specific location and transfer resources there, so that's another thing to consider if you're looking to earn some extra money. With that in mind, let's walk you through how to create a Cargo Link in Starfield.
How to set up Shipping Link
There are no requirements for building a Cargo Link other than placing an outpost's beacon and having the materials needed to build it, and of course building another outpost to connect it. However, if you need it for a resupply mission and don't plan on using it for anything else, you'll only need one since one will already be installed at the receiving location.
You can find the Cargo Link under Miscellaneous in the build menu. Here are the materials you need to build it:
- Two Zero Wires
- Two Beryllium
- 12 Aluminum
- 20 Iron
The Cargo Link is basically a landing strip, but it has two storage containers attached to it – the green one is for incoming stuff, the red one is for outgoing stuff. There is also a console to configure which location to connect to. After building, interact with the console and it will show you available Cargo Links you can connect to, including those related to supply missions. Establish the connection by pressing the E key.
A cargo ship will now land periodically to pick up the contents of the outgoing container and transport it to the connecting destination. If you have multiple outposts with Cargo Links, you can switch between them at any point by accessing the console. You don't have to do this on both ends, so it's really easy to swap them out.
As mentioned before, there's nothing stopping you from using any of the containers as additional storage for your resources – note: the container that comes with it allows you to store anything – just make sure that particular Cargo Link isn't active or you'll be chasing your stuff across the galaxy.

However, the more the Verbindung, the more difficult it becomes.
That's half nicht.
