Riot Games is working hard to prevent cheaters from ruining the game experience.
VALORANT anti-cheat team member Matt “K3o” Paoletti announced today in a new report that report rates for cheating are at an all-time low.
The fall 2021 VALORANT anti-cheat update reminds players of the progress made so far and how the team is constantly working to prevent cheaters from ruining Riot Games' FPS experience. Paoletti confirmed that the first VALORANT Champions Tour “went really well” and that the team is evaluating pro players as early as open qualifiers to maintain competitive integrity. Previous meta-game system updates have also helped combat cheaters, causing the report rates for cheating to trend downward.
The growing popularity of VALORANT has created a “global market” for cheaters, and Riot is constantly working to stay ahead of the curve. The good news is that the work is paying off, as the report rates for cheating are at an all-time low, meaning players are facing fewer issues with their games.
Paoletti encourages players to continue to report problem players and to be specific in the comment section as the team reads the notes. While fewer reports of cheaters are good news, the team needs to keep working hard to get ahead of the problem.
“Yes, there are still cheaters at VALORANT and somehow they always will be,” Paoletti said. “However, we have spent a great deal of time through both operational and technical developments to ensure that cheating is at a sustainably low level and, most importantly, that cheating is never a viable path to long-term competitive success. We have to strike the balance between keeping the games as safe as possible and at the same time ensuring that the arms race with the cheaters is always at a pace we're ahead of."

It will also focus on “other forms of game integrity abuse” that scammers can use to indirectly influence gameplay, such as boosting low-ranking players. Advances in cybersecurity also allow Riot to “better identify and block fraudsters.”
