European organization Acend trained without Vlad “Kiles” Shvets on the VALORANT roster, according to several sources telling Dot Esports on March 28.

Acend has yet to make a decision to reserve or release Kiles as he is training with new players to test a potential roster change.

According to multiple sources, Acend trained today with Wave Esports substitute Yiğithan “DeepMans” Kesici and Team BDS player David “Fizzy” Figueiredo. Kiles was absent from practice today.

Acend has made a major roster change, with in-game leader Santeri “BONECOLD” Sassi stepping in, according to an announcement made on March 23. BONECOLD remains under contract with the organization as it continues to evaluate its options.

Both Kiles and BONECOLD were part of Acend's VALORANT roster that lifted the Champions trophy last December. They beat Gambit in the grand final on December 12 to win the $350.000 grand prize.

Since the victory at Champions, Acend has suffered a huge decline. In the first stage of 2022 EMEA Challengers, which ended yesterday, Acend was unable to enter the playoff stage after finishing fifth in Group B.

Acend was defeated by Guild, Fnatic and BBL Esports in the group matches, which shocked them 2-3 on the table. This made Acend not qualify for the first international tournament of the year next month.

Acend's replacement, Team Liquid, Fnatic, and G2 Esports will attend the VCT Masters, which kicks off April 11 in Reykjavik, Iceland.
