Age of Mythology is finally getting its own Definitive Edition with Age of Mythology Retold! Xbox announced the news in its 25th Anniversary broadcast.
Released in 2002, Age of Mythology puts a fantastic spin on the classic Age of Empires formula with playable cultures based on Greek, Egyptian, and Norse mythology. Players can create legendary units by spending a new resource called 'favor', which is earned by praying or honoring a god of their choice. In subsequent expansions, new cultures such as Atlanteans and Chinese were added, as well as the ability to summon massive, devastating Titans.
Age of Mythology was re-released in 2014 with an Extended Edition that added a number of upgrades, including Twitch support and some graphics improvements. But now with the announcement of Age Of Mythology Retold, everything is ready for the Definitive Edition!

In the same anniversary broadcast, Microsoft also announced that Age of Empires II and IV will be coming to Xbox consoles for the first time.
