Fade, the first mobile exclusive character to arrive for Apex Legends Mobile when it launched in March, is now available to play for free. This week, Respawn is giving players an opportunity to try Fade.
Normally, Apex Legends Mobile characters can only be unlocked by purchasing the premium battle pass and reaching level 25/50 of the ticket (the legend of that season is unlocked) or by purchasing it manually. Apart from this standard Apex Legends character unlock process, a character can also be unlocked by spending real money. You cannot unlock a character outside of these methods.
Many players (especially newbies) haven't had the chance to try Fade and Rhapsody, or even the new addition to the mobile game Loba. Giving players a chance to take a peek at a new legend's kit seems like a smart choice for game developers. Because many gamers (especially those starting on the console and PC version of the game) are hesitant to spend their in-game money. Players do not try to unlock a character they are not familiar with and may not enjoy playing.

To play without unlocking Fade, click on the “Go” option on the splash screen that appears when you first open the game (or manually navigate to the event page via the banner ads on the right side of the main lobby screen). You will then be taken to the game mode page where you can select your preferred game mode and automatically start the match as Fade.
